Cornflower & Knapweed Unframed Print

Cornflower & Knapweed Unframed Print

Centaurea cyanus & Centaurea nigra

The original watercolour was painted by Sophia in 1903 and her father Richard Walker included Knapweed in his 1833 Flora of Oxfordshire, when Knapweed was also known locally as Blue-bottle and Star-thistle.  Cornflower is still known as Bachelor's Button and is endangered in native habitats.

Our unframed A4 prints are produced in the UK and measure 210mm x 297mm.  Sophia's original watercolour is carefully reproduced on high-quality 215gsm Vellum Ivory paper that is FSC accredited and can be easily recycled.
